Open Attractions in Panama City Beach

For travelers in years past, a trip to Panama City Beach often revolved around time spent on the beaches, in the waves, and visiting landmark attractions alongside droves of other visitors with the same idea in mind. From packed restaurants to shopping centers and time spent exploring and experiencing this sunny destination in style, Panama City Beach was once a place where travelers came together in the name of fun. In 2020, the arrival of COVID-19 on the global scene has things looking quite different. While the appeal of travel to Panama City Beach is still firmly in place, some changes are evident in what’s open to the public in the name of continued health and safety. Here are a few of the open attractions in Panama City beach that are open as of May.

St. Andrews State Park

Under the conditions of phase one of the re-opening of the state of Florida, State Andrews State Park is open for day-time visitors under the condition that groups of 10 or more are still prohibited from gathering within its parameters. Daytime hours are considered anywhere from 8:00 am until sundown and entrance to the park remains steady at $8 per vehicle. This park is located at 4607 State Park Lane. Guests are invited to come and enjoy the hiking trails and options for savoring the view while keeping social distancing guidelines top of mind.

Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise

On the list of attractions in Panama City Beach open now is the Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise. Since opening in 1998, the Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise has been a popular family choice for those visiting Panama City Beach with little ones. While kids enjoy dressing up as pirates, having their face painted, and pretending to shot off canons, parents can sit back and enjoy the view that comes with the cruise. The Sea Dragon is currently setting sail once again in May 2020 and while the number of passengers on board will be slightly limited and social distancing will be taken into account, this experience is sure to still be a blast. Tours depart daily from 5325 North Lagoon Drive.

Open Attractions in Panama City Beach: Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

This museum of mind-bending fun and wonder closed with the arrival of COVID-19 in Florida but has recently opened once again to the public with limited access hours to the main museum exclusively on Fridays through Sundays. This new schedule is in place until further notice and guests can expect to participate in required sanitizing routines as well as adhering to limited person to person contact rules. The museum is located at 9907 Front Beach Road if you’re looking for attractions in Panama City Beach open now!
