Guide to Thanksgiving 2023 in Panama City Beach

Author 11-06-2023

When you think of Thanksgiving, sometimes you think of cold weather, crowded restaurants, and bringing turkey in your very own oven. But we can help remedy all of these issues with a better idea in mind. Instead of spending your hard-earned miles and flight points on a trip to the ever-cold New York City or overpriced Europe, why not go somewhere tropical where you can enjoy the warm weather, sunny skies, and fresh food you won’t find in traditional American restaurants?

That’s right, it is time to head to the Sunshine State this November! We know that it can get too crowded in the summer months in Florida and too cold in the winter, so the fall is the best time to lay out on the beach, walk along the boardwalk, and explore the cities.

Check out Panama City Beach, a bustling and beautiful coastal city that offers pristine views of the ocean, mouthwatering seafood restaurants, and fun activities for you to do at any time of the day.

Thanksgiving Dinner

One of the best options for Thanksgiving in Panama City Beach this holiday season is Harpoon Harry’s, the ideal spot for you to enjoy your buffet. This traditional spot is well known among tourists and locals alike for serving crab legs, shrimp, buttery seafood, crispy bread rolls, and great views of the surrounding beaches. For just $35, you can have an all-you-can-eat buffet that will be one of the highlights of your holiday trip.

Next, you can’t go to Panama City Beach without attending Schooner’s Beach Party on a Friday or Saturday night! Put on your dancing shoes and your best outfit, and head to Schooner’s to dance the night away to live music and upbeat tunes. You can even enjoy sweet treats like s’mores and a few drinks in the moonlight.

After celebrating for a few days and enjoying a hearty meal with your family, we recommend going to PCB to kick off the following days of the holiday weekend at Aaron Bessant Park. The ‘Beach Home for the Holidays’ event on November 23 and November 24 offers a campfire, Christmas village, s’mores, and live music that will really get you in the holiday spirit.

Fun Activities

Along with Thanksgiving and holiday-themed activities that are must-dos for those who are going to PCB this upcoming November, there are endless activities for you to do with your friends and family. We love going to the nearby beaches to swim in the water and build sandcastles with our kids. You can also go to Pier Park to watch the fishermen bring in their daily haul and see the changing colors of the sunset. Another Fun thing to do with your friends is to play a round of golf at one of the numerous courses or challenge your teens to a friendly game of mini-golf on the boardwalk!
